Loyalty
If you want loyalty buy a dog!
This is typical a businessmen sentence when somebody resigns out of his company.
Is that True? It is true about the dog - a dog is loyal even when you hit is he will ran away a bit and then come back with his tail wagging again.
People are the same.They will come back for more punishment. Unfortunately this is the truth.
If you are a leader then a sentence like this is not for me. Why do I say this?
When you are leader you embrace your people and think of them as loyal people. If you are treating people as mentioned above they will experience you as such a person and they will not trust you any more.
I have seen it many times in my life - people are loyal to a business - another person or a cause. This is one of the amazing things of life when you see a person that is loyal even to his or her own loss.
I will not as a leader think like this. Recognise the loyal person and build on that loyalty. It will help the person and it will help you.
