Loyalty

 Loyalty

If you want loyalty buy  a dog!

This is typical a businessmen sentence when somebody resigns out of his company.

Is that True? It is true about the dog - a dog is loyal even when you hit is he will ran away a bit and then come back with his tail wagging again.

People are the same. They will come back for more punishment. Unfortunately this is the truth.

If you are a leader then a sentence like this is not for me. Why do I say this?

When you are leader you embrace your people and think of them as loyal people. If you are treating people as mentioned above they will experience you as such a person and they will not trust you any more.

I have seen it many times in my life - people are loyal to a business - another person or a cause. This is one of the amazing things of life when you see a person that is loyal even to his or her own loss.

I will not as a leader think like this. Recognise the loyal person and build on that loyalty. It will help the person and it will help you.

Problem versus Challenge

Try and change your words from a problem and make all the problems a challenge

What happens?

A challenge is something that you want to conquer - go for it

What is in a word? A big difference in attitude.

Solution Driven against Problem reporting

We very often report a problem. As long as the boss know our task is done. That is what we think.

It is not what we want in a business - try and find a solution and when you report the so called problem give the solution to the problem.

It start to change everything in that business

The answer

When you have policies and procedures you save time on decision making.

A example is where you have a contract - it is a idea to have a escape clause out of the contract with a penalty clause.

So you are welcome to get out of the contract - just follow the escape clause that you agreed on when you signed the contract and pay the penalty.

Great stuff !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bullets of productivity

I belong to a web page sending me bullets of productivity and the one below cousht my eye

"As much as it's tempting to stuff many topics in a single email, it's more effective to write one email per important topic. This will ensure that your recipient duly focuses on each issue. This is especially useful when writing to people who routinely neglect to address all issues raised in an email.

By splitting up important matters across multiple emails, each with a specific subject line, you will keep better track of the sub-issues that arise out of conversations."

I tried it and It worked well. Some aspects you need to talk about with a client can go faster that the more difficult ones and it can get sorted easily whilst others take longer
